Interview With My Boyfriend: Pregnancy & Birth | For The Second Time!

pregnancy and birth number 22222

I did two interviews with Jonny about Pregnancy and Birth and Becoming A Dad when we had just had Alfie. Now with a second child on the way I wanted to ask him the same/similar questions and see how his answers differ so here we go…

How did you feel when you found out I was pregnant for the second time?

Very very pleased and excited, good to know my balls still work. {lovely!..again!}

What is your favourite thing about me being pregnant this time?

Massive tits. {At least he’s honest I guess…}

What is your least favourite thing about me being pregnant this time?

You are very grumpy and hormonal. Alfie wants your attention all the time and I can see it’s hard on you.

Do you think I’m doing better in this pregnancy than I did with Alfie’s?

I think you’ve done a lot better than you think you have and I think you are handling this time better than with Alfie. {With Alfie I was pregnant in the summer and it was awful}

How did you feel when we found out we were having a girl this time?

Over the moon, I always wanted a little girlie as Alfie’s such a Mummy’s boy I’m hoping Lacey will be a Daddy’s girl!

Are you ready to be a dad of two?

Yes. I’m excited and can’t wait.

Lacey was born on the 31st March 2016 and here are Jonny’s answers regarding the birth..

Do you think I was better in labour this time round?

Equal, you were amazing in both, however as this was the second time it was quicker and I felt like I was helping more as I knew what was going on.

What is your favourite thing about being a dad of two so far?

Cuddles with both of my kids at the same time.

What is your least favourite thing about being a dad of two so far?

Feeling that I’m neglecting Alfie, getting the balance right is tough.

Did you feel a bond with Lacey straight away or did it take a while?

Definitely within 24 hours, it all happened so fast and was a bit of a whirlwind but I adored her straight away, she’s my beautiful girlie.

Are you glad I’m not breast feeding?

Yeah I love feeding her and helping out. I’d feel terrible if you had to do it all.

What are you looking forward to as she grows up?

Seeing her smile and laugh and be happy, family holidays, Christmases.. All of it.

And finally, what are you not looking forward to as she grows up?

BOYS.

I love asking Jonny these sort of questions it’s so nice to hear his honest opinion, his answers are lovely and hopefully eventually the kids may see all of this.
